MORE DC PHOTOS
Posing in front of the White House. If you look closely at the 2nd window on the left, you can see Obama and Raum spying on us.
Our camera picked up something suspicious looking on Obama's chest. We sent the photo to Ghost Hunters for examination. The girls didn't seem to mind!
Did I mention how cold it was?? Our feet were sinking in the snow as we stood here.
Waiting at the airport for our flight home....we ate at Matsutaki's....I had boiled squid legs (tasted like chicken) and Debbie had eel liver soup. We shared a side order of tuna yuke. We couldn't wait for the airplane peanuts to get the taste out of our mouths!

AMY POEHLER WIDGET
The above is a widget from Cozmo TV. Put together by Amy Poehler, it is a commentary/interview style piece where she interviews kids about their achievements and interests.
Amy Poehler is an excellent comedian and actress. She was a cast member and parody news anchor on the NBC television program Saturday Night Live from 2001 until shortly after the birth of her child in 2008. She has starred in several movies including Mean Girls, Scary Movie II, Blades of Glory and many others. Recently she put together the above as a means of education and commentary that people of all ages would be interested in.
Cozmo TV was actually started with the goal of helping introduce people to better television content. Needed!! CozmoTV is taking advantage of the way video is distributed and targeted these days by providing a simple way for content owners to syndicate their video across thousands of targeted websites. Video makers, including YouTube amateurs. It's a fascinating and innovative concept. And Amy Poehler is taking advantage of this by syndicating her video through the above widget.
Please feel free to grab the above widget and embed it on your blog or MySpace or Facebook page. You can get your own widget here!

TAX TIME
It's tax time again and we are all probably awaiting our 1099's from Izea. I have heard through the blogging grapevine that you don't need to report your income from blogging or you don't need to report it unless it is over $6000 (anyone making $6000 from blogging out there?), and other misconceptions.

CUPID FOR HORSE LOVERS
Horse lovers are a unique breed. Someone who loves horses REALLY loves and is passionate about horses. That's because there is something so very special about a horse. It takes commitment and dedication to have and raise a horse and a lot can be said about a person that has one. And that's exactly why a website for horse-loving single men and women was built.
Equestrian Cupid is a site devoted to singles who loves horses. It's a unique niche but has found its place and is growing rapidly. It's an exclusive community for horse lovers who are single to meet other horseback riding buddies, "discover uncharted trails, pursue the country lifestyle, locate the best riding areas, and meet someone to share your country pursuits."
Online dating is always a risky venture but the owners of Equestrian Singles have put into place safeguards that will ensure the person you meet is someone with an honest and true profile. You will be able to verify income, age, photo, education and employment. You can take advantage of FREE sign-up today and become a member and even post an ad free for life! Of course there are premiums to enhance your profile but membership is free.
If you or someone you know who loves horses is looking for someone like-minded, then click this link and discover equestrian cupid. They have a long history of success and can provide the platform for horse lovers to discover each other.

QUICK TRIP TO DC

We were so very proud to visit the Philippine Embassy and met some nice Filipinos there...also visiting. I wanted to visit the Uzbekistan Embassy but we ran out of time.

In and around the city there were still bleachers up from the inaugural parade....they were all covered in ice! I think the workers taking them down get paid by the hour.

We stood in awe of the White House and I couldn't help but go through American history in my mind and all the great Presidents that have lived here and walked these grounds.
My favorite President and the picture of a lifetime in front of the Lincoln Memorial. There never has been nor ever will be another President as great as Abraham Lincoln.
We obviously will go back and spend more time but who could resist a paid for trip to DC on a Wednesday? Not us. Hope you enjoy the pics.

FOR YOUR FUTURE.....
There has been a lot written about stem cell research. It may be controversial but at least it is worth reading and considering and then, formulating an opinion. In your reading, you will find a host of information and learn an incredible amount about stem cells and how they can be used in the prevention and treatment of women's diseases. Not only could it be a disease in the woman, but it could be something hereditary passed along to her children. Diseases like osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease....all can be life threatening not only to the parent, but to the children as well. C'elle "enables and empowers a woman to take control of her future health, and possibly of those genetically closest to her, in a fast, painless and stress free way." This statement proves powerful when you read and understand the simple process of collecting and harvesting the cells.
Menstrual cells are processed and stored at a very low temperatures for potential cellular therapies that may be used in the future. This branch of science is proving to be more and more powerful all the time and the possibilities, while some may abuse them, are far-reaching. I would encourage every woman to click either this link or the above link and read C'Elle Testimonials and even research the company on their website. Information like this is always good to have. Plus, they have some current specials that are of interest to everyone. Major life decisions involve not only yourself, but those in your future as well. Order C'elle Now!

HAND OVER THAT BOOK - YOU'RE UNDER ARREST
An Iowa woman has been arrested because she failed to return a library book. Thirty-nine-year-old Shelly Koontz was arrested Thursday night on a fifth-degree theft charge. She is accused of keeping "The Freedom Writers Diary," which she checked out from the public library in nearby Jesup in April.
I think this is absurd. Arresting someone for not returning a library book - it appears the police at the Buchanan County jail in Iowa have little to nothing to do so they arrest a woman over a $14 book. Pathetic. Here's the story.

THE GIFT OF LIFE
New and innovative ways to fight medical diseases are being born everyday. Research is showing over and over that one of the keys to fighting these diseases lies in our blood. Cord blood is one of the more effective ways of fighting diseases such as leukemia, anemia, lymphoma, diabetes and cerebral palsy. Parents should take note - choosing to store their child’s cord blood can be one of the best decisions they ever make. The key within the cord blood is the stem cells. This subject can be controversial but also the benefits of such research are numerous. Science can now treat diseases with Stem Cells - umbilical cord stem cells are known to treat 70 diseases. About 30,000 people a year in the United States are diagnosed with a disease that can be treated with cord blood stem cells. By the year 2015, there will be 10,000 cord blood transplants world-wide per year using publicly banked cord blood.

WHY COULDN'T THAT BE ME??
Three state highway workers cleaning up litter picked up an abandoned tire — and found about $100,000 inside. Indiana state police suspect the cash, in denominations of $5 to $100, — may be drug money. Drug money or not, I'm keeping it. I think I would always be looking over my shoulder thinking someone saw me and was coming to get the money, etc... But that tax free money would go a long way in our lives. hmmmm....why can't I find buried treasure or a bag (or tire) filled with money? What would you do? Here's the story.

DANIBLACK SHOES
One of a woman's more favorite subjects has to be shoes. Some people simply collect them and rarely wear them while others appreciate a quality brand at a good price. That is what daniblack shoes are all about - quality shoes at a great price. The shoes are the creation of the husband-and-wife team of Daniel and Barbara Schwart. They have been around now since 2005 and seem to have made a positive mark of the apparel communtiy. Daniblack shoes have been featured on the pages of ELLE Accessories, People StyleWatch and Lucky and Marie Claire. The shoes style and craftsmanship have become its trademark in the industry.
The following are a couple of pairs that are my favorite. The first one is called Roam. As you can see it is an elegant shoe fitting for going out for an evening on the town. This would look particularly good with a beautiful black dress on a date with my husband! The shoe looks like it is comfortable and provides a lot of support!
The next shoe I like is called Master. Here is a picture:
A flat made from leather, it would be perfect for multiple occassions including a day out shopping or a casual shoe for wear at home. There is plenty of padding so it is the perfect 'comfort' shoe!
If you are looking for a quality pair of shoes that are trendy and priced right, then Daniblack shoes are perfect for you. Just click the above link and you will be taken to their website where you can peruse their selection where you are sure to find something you like! Give them a try today!

THE PERFECT WINTER GET-A-WAY

The Midwest has always had a special place in my heart and the reasons are many. But one of the main reasons is the atmosphere created by the beauty of the land and the goodness of the people. One of my favorite places in the Midwest is Branson, Missouri. Branson is an entertainment capital in the Midwest and has a lot to offer both young and old. They have a variety of shows that include magicians, rock 'n' roll, country, family harmonies, comedy, variety, dinner shows, gospel, and well-known performers that make appearances. Also, it is little known that Branson, Missouri has more theater seats than Broadway. And right now it is the perfect time to visit for a nice winter get-a-way. Branson has a special package put together called the Hilton Branson Escape Package.
Whether you want to play miniature golf, enjoy go-carts, water parks, and history museums, you can do it all while staying in Branson. You can see the Titanic and even stop at the famous College of the Ozarks. It's a beautiful part of the country that has so much to offer. You will enjoy the spirit of the holidays with light displays, shows, parades, and the old time charm of Branson. Then at night you can retire in the luxury and comfort of either the Hilton Promenade or the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. I would encourage you to click on any of the above links and discover for yourself the beauty of Branson.

ANOTHER MONEY FRAUD
Federal regulators on Wednesday charged a missing hedge fund manager with fraud, saying he misled investors and overstated the value of investments in the six funds by about $300 million.
This grandpa looking figure is actually a white collar criminal. Can you believe all the money managers that are now missing in action. The market is crashing and they mysteriously disappear........hmmmmmmm........first it was Madoff, then the money manager pilot whose plane crashed (although he was later found in Florida) and now this guy. One thing they have in common is that they totally ripped off their customers. They were entrusted with money from their clients and they used it for their own gain. (sigh) Moral of the story is.......invest your own money and DO NOT let anyone else. Get advice...yes, of course, but DO IT YOURSELF!!! Here's the story.

CBS ANCHOR LAURA DIAZ
CBS Anchor Laura Diaz has made quite an impression since coming on the television scene many years ago. She is currently the popular co-anchor of the CBS evening news at 5:00pm and 11:00pm but her career didn't start there. She has worked hard over the years turning into a successful broadcaster for one of the largest news groups in the world, CBS Broadcasting Inc.

50 CENTS?
Many are wondering what is happening to Pay Per Post and Social Spark. Suddenly everything is 200 words for $5.00. And now, today, we have post offers for 50 cents? I saw one today for $1.50. So what gives?
Actually it's not what you think. Put yourself in the position of the advertiser. Times are tough so you need to cut back. But do you cut back on a $15 payout to a blogger or do you cut back on the $5000 billboard or the $100,000 television commercial? Advertisers are cutting back on their bigger spending but the small to medium sized businesses are cutting back on almost everything. Who are the customers of PPP and SS? Most of them are the small to medium sized businesses or the new business start-ups looking for buzz. As a result, we have less opportunities for good money. So what's in the future?
Like it or not, we will be seeing more 50 cent offers, $1.50 offers and yes, more 200 words for $5.00 offers. We also should remember that advertisers will go where the value is.........if your posts are quality and you follow the guidelines, when times get better they just might come back to PPP and SS. If your posts are filled with bad grammar, improper English and lack a sense of savvy about the content, they will be content with another form of advertising and leave bloggers alone.
Now is the time to give quality 50 cent posts.......just for now. If your time is better spent elsewhere then do so. But he who is faithful in the little things, will be entrusted to things that are bigger. The reality is that blogging opportunities for good money are mostly (but not entirely) gone for the moment. We can either complain and watch nothing happen or be faithful. Hang in there fellow bloggers as we are in the middle of a storm but if you handle it well, then you will get to experience the winds subsiding and the sun coming out again.

THE CONTACT LENS SOLUTION

Wearing contact lenses can sometimes be a hassle. Learning to put them in your eyes is challenging, how long to wear them before you change can be disconcerting, and what about running out and being able to order more contact lens quickly? It can be a hassle to call your eye doctor and wait for an appointment, then have the appointment and wait for your contacts. The best way to order contact lens is online and the best site to order them from is AC Lens.
AC Lens carries all the major brands of contact lenses including Acuvue, Biomedics, Focus, Freshlook, Soflens, Purevision, and many more. They have over one million lenses in stock which means they have the kind you need. In addition they have contact lens accessories including contact lens cases, glasses, lens and eye care products, reading glasses, sun glasses, swimming goggles and more. Here are some advantages of using AC Lens:
- Convenience - secure and simple online ordering
- Service - expert contact lens expert service
- Guarantee - 30-day return policy
If you wear contact lens then you owe it to yourself to check out this site. You will find a huge selection, low prices, secure on-line ordering and even a free online consultation with an Optometrist. They also have a product called LensAlert. Lens Alert counts down the number of days left to change your contact lenses and also your contact lens case. This in itself is such a valuable product! In addition, Woman's World magazine recently recommended the LensAlert in their "Products We Love" section. Just click any of the above links and learn more today about AC Lens!

KID KILLER
Police say an angry 4-year-old Ohio boy grabbed a gun from a closet and shot his baby sitter. Witnesses told police the child was angry because the babysitter accidentally stepped on his foot. Nothing surprises me but I still have questions:
- How does the 4 year old know where the guns are?
- Why are the guns kept loaded around a 4 year old who knows how to get them?
- How does a 4 year old know how to use the gun?
- Where did the 4 year old get such a temper as to seek revenge on someone who hurts him accidently?
- Will he shoot his parents someday for disciplining him?
- How long before he goes to foster parents.....or juvy?
Here's the disturbing story.

TEXTING INSANITY
This California man's 13-year-old daughter, Reina, pictured here, racked up an astonishing 14,528 text messages in one month. The online AT&T statement ran 440 pages. Here's a breakdown of what that means:
What will the parents do? Just laugh it off and thank the Lord their daughter has the world's record OR realize how insane that amount of texting is and take the stupid cell phone away. Actually they have put restrictions on her..........wait until you read them. By the way, the girl is only 13 years old. Pathetic.......here's the story.

NOW HE SEES, NOW HE DOESN'T
Texas death row inmate Andre Thomas is shown here after plucking out his eye right before he went on trial. Thomas, who has a history of mental problems, is being treated at a prison psychiatric unit after authorities said he pulled out his only good eye and ate it.
I have to believe the movie will be out in about 2 years. This kind of situation is really sad and you have to wonder about the justice system.....even more than we already do. Now he lives in prison with no eyes in a state of mental oblivion. So sad.

PAID POSTS THROUGH PAYING POST
Blog advertising hasn't been around real long and it has certainly evolved over the last couple of years. Blogging itself is not that old, although if you look in any newspaper and see an editorial, that is, in my opinion, a blog. If you see a column in a magazine, that is a blog. But if you look closely, you will find accompanying advertisements as well. Linking a product or service to an article or column or blog, is a form of advertising and marketing that has been around for a long time. More recently in blogging. The way blog advertising works is relatively simple. If your blog has lots of readers, then obviously advertisers will look more closely at putting ads on your site. If your blog is professional and well written, the more opportunities you will have to monetize your sites with product or service ads. More and more companies advertise on blogs as a means of marketing to the public.
Within the blogging world there are some good opportunities for bloggers to make extra money. Through product, service or site reviews sponsored by advertising networks, you can earn some extra income. One of the sites that is gaining popularity among bloggers is a site called Paying Post. This site offers bloggers the chance to write paid posts about a virtually unlimited amount of topics. We found Paying Post through a friend who recommended giving it a try. It works like this:
- You must have an established blog
- Apply to Paying Post for consideration
- Once accepted, embed their code right before the tag
- Then wait for opportunities to come available, follow the instructions, make and submit your post
- Once approved, you will be paid
It's that simple. Paying Post has a well laid out website that is easy to navigate and simple to use. Once you are approved, it is just a matter of being on the lookout for opportunities that interest you and you are on your way to being a paid blogger. I would encourage to click any of the links in this blog and discover for yourself, through Paying Post, more about blog advertising and how you can become a paid blogger today!

HUBBY LIST TAG
I don't usually do tags, but I can't say no to Ate Beng and Babette. Got this tag from them, thanks a lot ladies!
*Now the rules are simple.
1. Foremost, link back the person who tagged you.
2. Pick your sweetest picture when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers.
3. Post another pic now that you are together after the questions.
4. Share with how many friends you like. Be sure to link them and send them a comment about the tag.
5. Enjoy doing it.
6. Let your hubby read it too.
I toured him around my hometown in Pangasinan, which includes my uncle's office....introduced him to everyone.
--> Were you attracted to him? - Physically, yes! In my eyes, he's absolutely gorgeous. But he's more than a good looking man. He's very intellectual, he has a great sense of humor, and most important of all, he has the greatest and most genuine heart.
--> Were you friends before he became your bf? Yes, we were so close that we became the best of friends.
--> What was the sweetest thing he did for you? Alot...Too many to mention but here are some of them.
- He wrote a love letter while he's on board the plane and he handed it to me when we first met in person at the airport. And everytime he departs, he always leaves a love letter for me.
- I was overwhelmed when he sent (ordered online) me roses, chocolates, teddy bears, a card with love letter, balloons, gift certificate on Valentine's Day, and I thought.. oh my.......tons... but to my surprise, there's more! A guy from FedEx showed up infront of our doorstep to deliver more gifts from my Dana. It's not all the material things that made me so happy, but the thought of him being so sweet and thoughtful, being so romantic, and making me feel so special!
- Traveling to the Philippines to visit me.
- Talking heart to heart to my Mother, asking permission and blessing for my hand in marriage.
- Now that we're married, he still gives me love letter scattered all over the house for me to find, and I find that soooooo sweet of him.
- He opens the car door for me, he pulls the chair for me to sit both in private and public.
- He tells our son Daniel, how much he loves his Mommy. And it makes my heart melt everytime he says, " Iniibig kita ng buong puso ko asawa ko " to me... it's so cute with his tagalog accent, hehe.
--> What are the things about him that you are thankful for? - He has a great faith in God, very hardworking, will do anything and everything for me and Daniel, he pampers me, he's very committed and devoted to me, he takes perfect care of me, he treasures me so much and treats me like I'm a gem. He's a great provider, he's a great father, he's true to his words and promises... I can go on and on and on, there's more! In my eyes and in my heart, he's a perfect husband and a perfect man.
Now, here are our recent photos together with our little boy.....still very much in love with each other.

QUALITY ROLEX WATCHES
Perpetual Diamonds is a company that sells Rolex watches that have been previously owned or are just like new. If you have a watch currently, chances are it is a relatively cheap watch and before you know it, the band breaks or the watch stops. Then you need a new battery or just to replace the whole watch. With a Rolex watch, you know that it is a quality product that will last a long, long time.

THROWING THE BABY OUT WITH THE BATHWATER
Police searched garbage dumps in New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Tuesday for the body of a baby apparently thrown out with the trash at a Jersey City hospital sometime in the past two weeks. Excuse me?? Did I read that correctly - a hospital threw out a baby in the trash? Apparently the baby was still born but the family was never allowed to have a proper funeral and service for the baby as the hospital threw the baby out in the trash. Here's the bizarre story.

Believe it or not, having the "right" toys and games for your children to play with is critical. Some would say there is no such thing as a wrong toy or game but in reality there is.
