WOWO-WOE??

Controversial noontime TV show host Willie Revillame found himself in the hot seat again on Monday, beset by furious comments from bloggers and social networking websites. The reason: He objected, on air, to the insertion of a video of former President Corazon Aquino’s cortege on his show, “Wowowee.” - Inquirer.Net

Two things come to mind:

1. He was right.
2. He should have waited to say something during a commercial break.

His point was that the show has a joyous and funny atmosphere and the insert of the funeral procession was not conducive to the show. He does have a big mouth and is very out spoken and sometimes controversial - but in this case I believe he is right. The only problem was he said it over live TV. He gave the impression that his show had precedence over the funeral. Save it for the commercial break or save it for water cooler chat - just don't insult the good people of the Philippines who were trying to honor and show respect for the best President the nation has ever seen. Maybe they should have just cancelled the show for the day........
