GLORIA MADE PAGE 6

The economic downturn hasn't persuaded everyone to pinch pennies. Philippines President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was at Le Cirque the other night with a large entourage enjoying the good life, even though the former comptroller of her country's armed services, Carlos Garcia, was found guilty earlier this year of perjury and two of his sons were arrested in the US on bulk cash-smuggling charges. Macapagal-Arroyo ordered several bottles of very expensive wine, pushing the dinner tab up to $20,000. - New York Post, Page 6, August 7, 2009.

The above was recently printed on the infamous page 6 of the New York Post - Gloria treated her entourage to a P1,000,000 dinner and considering the number of people in her party, that comes out to around $1000 per person (dollars not pesos). Will anyone from the Philippines dare push into the light this pompous act of greed? While in New York.............right? Did you know Gloria put out the call for her people to fast so they all would know what it's like to be hungry? How does she sleep at night? God send us the next Cory....please!

i do not want to put my verdict on her, but personally she is a waste of money...... there are lots of projects that she could be focusing right now rather than spending millions of what a party??? such a waste........

what nerve! what else is new anyway?

I didn't happen to see the specific NY Post version that day. We have the Late City Final issue that day, and it is not on that version.

My Mom is now under hemodialysis twice a week. Not really a good prognosis but her team of doctors are doing what is best for her.

thanks sa dalaw ha. hope everything is good with your pregnancy. take care and hugs to Daniel!

yes me too sometimes i come to a point to wish some things that i do not have or complaint of what i have and feel ugly with it, like lighter skin etc... put lotion that has whitening and stuff funny isnt it? but that was long time ago...its like i had cross with my identity crises. But now since my age and mind goes matured i fully accepted the reality of me and proud of what i have and what i dont have....

I agree sis, I am praying for another Cory, too. She is unbelievably humble and very simple. Someone like her is what Philippines needs. Maybe her son Noynoy? I will be voting for him no doubt about it!

GMA and her partidos can still sleep at night because they are that that shameless. I was watching the documentary about Wal-mart and one of their CEOs who was earning millions of dollars yearly showed how much he spends on a hotel stay. Yung pinakamura nga lang yung kinukuhang accommodation and would dine in a simple fastfood chain. Oh God, another Cory is who I pray indeed!

BTW, thanks a lot for your constant visit! ;-) Take care!
