DESTINED TO LIVE?

A reservation mix-up, an overbooking and a Brazilian cabbie's passion for soccer are all that saved some would-be passengers on Air France flight 447 from the fate of 228 others who lost their lives in the mid-Atlantic. Now put yourself in their shoes...........booked for a flight that would crash but something came up and you couldn't make it. That is a "come to Jesus" moment if I have ever heard one. It kind of reminds me of the movie "Final Destination." It would be interesting to track the lives of those who were supposed to be on the plane for the next several years to see what they made of their lives. Makes you think.............here's the story.

Wasn't it sad? It reminded me of that movie Final Destination without "they'll die later part". I'm sure the would be passenger who didn't board are sure to be really thankful. But it's so sad that nobody survived. They'll be missed for sure.

Indeed saved by the grace of God...
It must be one of those life changing experiences...

For those who didn't survive, it would surely be difficult for the families or loved ones left, but I guess it must have been time... easy to say but hard to accept...

hugs and kisses to Mommy, Daddy and adorable Daniel from Noah, Kaiden and Mommy :)

Wow, I just read that article and it gave me shivers. It reminded me of how in December 2008 when I was 17 weeks pregnant, I headed to our mall in Omaha, NE to go Christmas shopping. For some reason I decided to stop at another store on the way, even though I'd been there just the other day and, sure enough, didn't find anything I needed there. I was mad at myself for wasting time as I got into my car and kept driving to the mall. Suddenly news broke on my radio telling people not to go the mall - there was a shooting in progress. It turned out to be the worst US mall shooting spree in history. Nine innocent people lost their lives. I pulled to the side of the road and thought I was going to have an anxiety attack - the shooting took place in the exact store that I always park and walk into first. If I hadn't stopped during my drive then I would have been there at the exact time. I have no doubt that God saved me and my baby that day. Thank you for spreading the word of how God works!

My heart goes out to the family of the victims. Such a devastating tragedy! I hope they find the black box so the authorities and the families left behind would know what really happened.

It's sad...

It got me thinking alright. How often really that one missed or escaped death?. Fact is, my German friend e-mailed me and learned that his flight was just some minutes/hours? apart from the one that crashed. He was in Brazil for a week vacation and on his way home to Germany that day. Huh, speaking of luck, yeah, he was lucky... Really sad for those who crashed. Well, life's like that, we'll never know when death is on us..

It's not their time yet I guess. It's sad reading the news because of this. At least they're starting to recover remains...the family can at least have some kind of a closure and give their loved ones a proper burial.

i had similar experience of escaping death. i was on my way to caticlan (where we take the boat to boracay) and the call of nature was so urgent i had to ask the jeepney driver to stop. i did not care if i would have to wait for another hour to get another ride. the jeepney i was riding fell off the cliff and i was spared by God's grace. maybe, we have our own set of time or destiny? it is always sad to have incidents like this, though we know we'll all get there eventually, but somehow, it is just painful.
